BEYOND THE
MARKED RUNS
Crans-Montana holds serious off-piste terrain, from the Plaine Morte glacier to the north-facing slopes that keep their snow long after the pistes have been tracked out. Riding it well means knowing where the snow is good — and, more importantly, where it isn't.
APEX freeride sessions are private, limited to four people, and led by instructors qualified for off-piste terrain. Safety equipment is mandatory and available for hire separately.
Who it's for
Confident all-mountain skiers and riders
You descend red and black runs comfortably in any snow. Off-piste is the next step, not the first one.
Small groups only
Four people maximum, for safety and for the quality of the session.
Safety first
Transceiver, shovel and probe are compulsory, and their use is covered before setting off.
Terrain matched to conditions
Route decisions are made on the day, based on snowpack, weather and avalanche risk.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
-
Avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe are compulsory for every participant. They are not included in the session and are available for hire separately.
Your guide covers their use before departure. Off-piste routes are chosen on the day according to conditions, and sessions may be modified or cancelled where the avalanche risk requires it. That decision rests with the guide and is final.
PRICING
Freeride sessions are arranged on request, based on conditions, group size and the terrain you’re after. Get in touch and we’ll come back to you.
