Last updated: 26/07/2026
Apex Alps SA respects your privacy and processes your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
Apex Alps SA
Route des Sommets de Crans 1, 3963 Crans-Montana, Switzerland
info@apexalps.ch
For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to us at the address above.
2. What data we collect
Data you give us directly
— Identity: first name, last name, date of birth (for participants)
— Contact details: email, telephone, postal address
— Booking information: dates, session type, group size, accommodation in the resort
— Information relevant to safety: ability level, relevant medical information you choose to share, emergency contact
— Any content you send us through our contact form or by email
Data collected automatically
— Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, time spent
— Cookies and similar technologies (see section 8)
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
Performing our contract with you — to process bookings, organise sessions, allocate instructors, prepare equipment, issue invoices and communicate about your booking.
Legal obligations — to keep accounting records (10 years under Swiss law), to comply with insurance and safety requirements.
Legitimate interests — to ensure participant safety, improve our services, prevent fraud and misuse.
Your consent — to send you news or offers by email, and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who has access to it
We never sell your data. We share it only where necessary:
— Our instructors and staff, limited to what a session requires
— Our booking platform (YoPlanning) and customer management system (Odoo)
— Our accounting software (Odoo) and, where relevant, our accountant
— Specialized Crans-Montana, where equipment is prepared or rented for you
— Our web host (Infomaniak, Switzerland)
— Public authorities, where the law requires it
Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland. Where that happens, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate contractual safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
— Booking and customer data: for the duration of the relationship, then 10 years for accounting purposes
— Progression records: for as long as the rider continues with us, so that progress carries between seasons
— Contact enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 2 years
— Marketing consent: until you withdraw it
— Technical and analytics data: 12 months
6. How we protect it
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to those who need it, and secure, regularly maintained systems.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to info@apexalps.ch. We respond within 30 days.
If you consider that your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or with your national supervisory authority if you are in the EU.
8. Cookies
Our site uses:
— Essential cookies, needed for the site and booking system to function. These cannot be disabled.
— Analytics cookies, to understand how the site is used, only with your consent.
— Third-party cookies from our booking platform and, where applicable, embedded video.
You can manage your preferences at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
9. Children's data
Many of our sessions are for children. Where a participant is under 16, the booking and the associated data are provided by a parent or legal guardian, who consents on the child's behalf. We collect only what is necessary to run the session safely.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.
